The Role Of Technology In Future

Importance Of Growth And Development Of Technology  In Upcoming Years

Now we all know that Technology plays a crucial role in everybody's life. Weather we talk about education field, business field, economic field, in every field growth and development of Technology is important. Without Technology we are noting. We achieved a lot with the help of technology, for example we have the possibility to connect with our friends around the world, curing many diseases, travelling, going to space and many more.

But as we know there are two faces of coins meaning if we see each aspect carefully there are pros and cons at the same time. Similarly Technology also have advantages and disadvantages.

I think it is important to bear in mind the mutual goal: to keep the planet with mankind and all its beautiful animals and plants alive. This implies to make technology as positive as possible for humanity and the environment in the long run. The technology we create now creates the future and it should be for the people and make things easier and not more complicated.

How far we have come with Technology

Over the years technology has been growing fast. Technology is often changing our lives to make things easier and better for us. Now, the worldwide population is about nine billions people, but from the ancient times society has worked hard to develop, to improve life standards, to discover and to control everything on the Earth. The last two decades in which many advancements in the IT technology were registered is argued that might have brought a lot of good new opportunities or a series of serious consequences for the population.
The world is changing at a pace never seen before. What we believe to be future technology actually exists today and is rapidly infiltrating our everyday lives
A big percent of the global population enjoy using the actual today's technology in order to make their lives more easy, interesting, or even more affordable. To begin, the enormous network known as World Wide Web which help people to keep themselves informed about the things that are happening across the world, to link new virtual relationships, to download entertaining materials like music or movies, and to continue, the simple idea of communication through email that help normal individual but also big companies from any part of the globe to stay in touch with his or her friends and of course their business partners.
On the other hand IT technology has developed to a very high level, creating sometimes negative effects on population. If we take a closer look to the evolution of the interpersonal communication, we will unfortunately discover that the modern individual communicates at least eighty percent through the inter-medium of the virtual space and only twenty percent will meet other people. In addition, the labor market has been so utilized that it replaces a big part of the human work force need. Because of this fact the contemporary society face higher unemployment rates, and an unsecured future is created for the next generations.
In the last 20 years there have been significant developments in the field of information technology (IT), for example the World Wide Web and communication by email. However, these developments in IT are likely to have more negative effects than positive in the future.
In conclusion, IT technology is very useful for nowadays society, creating many new opportunities in different fields of activity, but when the limits are crossed and the population does not control anymore these gadgets there is a problem and can have serious consequences among the healthy development of the human beings.

THE EVOLUTION OF AI

AI isn’t a new concept; its storytelling roots go as far back as Greek antiquity. However, it was less than a century ago that the technological revolution took off and AI went from fiction to very plausible reality. Alan Turing, British mathematician and WWII code-breaker, is widely credited as being one of the first people to come up with the idea of machines that think in 1950. He even created the Turing test, which is still used today, as a benchmark to determine a machine’s ability to “think” like a human. Though his ideas were ridiculed at the time, they set the wheels in motion, and the term “artificial intelligence” entered popular awareness in the mid- 1950s, after Turing died.

American cognitive scientist Marvin Minsky picked up the AI torch and co-founded the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s AI laboratory in 1959, and he was one of the leading thinkers in the field through the 1960s and 1970s. He even advised Stanley Kubrick on “2001: A Space Odyssey,” released in 1968, which gave the world one of the best representations of AI in the form of HAL 9000. The rise of the personal computer in the 1980s sparked even more interest in machines that think.

But it took a couple of decades for people to recognize the true power of AI. High-profile investors and physicists, like Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, and Stephen Hawking, are continuing the conversation about the potential for AI technology. While the discussion occasionally turns to potential doomsday scenarios, there is a consensus that when used for good, AI could radically change the course of human history. And that is especially true when it comes to big data.

How we are dealing with Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence or simply AI is the science of designing smart machines and computer programs. This technology is a fascinating concept especially now that technocrats are creating systems that can think and do things almost like humans. It is an integration of computer science into philosophy and physiology.

Artificial Intelligence refers to the intelligence of machines. This is in contrast to the natural intelligence of humans and animals. With Artificial Intelligence, machines perform functions such as learning, planning, reasoning and problem-solving. Most noteworthy, Artificial Intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence by machines. It is probably the fastest-growing development in the World of technology and innovation. Furthermore, many experts believe AI could solve major challenges and crisis situations.

Artificial intelligence is impacting the future of virtually every industry and every human being. Artificial intelligence has acted as the main driver of emerging technologies like big data, robotics and IoT, and it will continue to act as a technological innovator for the foreseeable future.

Advantages of Technology

The 21st century is just 18 years old, and we have seen a revolutionary blast of technology. People are so much used to of technology that one cannot even imagine of living without a smartphone or their laptop. From our food to our education, digitisation has been done in every field possible. The technology developments are also helping to improve work environments and lifestyles of people in the workplace. Investments in technology leads to employee motivation, well-being, high productivity and growth for businesses that take the lead in its adoption.

Here are some advantages of technology in our lives:

1. Better Learning Techniques

You can improve your teaching skills and integrate scientific methods to bring motivation to your students. Many software and electronic gadgets are introduced to help students with their education. The simplest example of a calculator can amaze a person. Multiple calculations and various binary operations, the answer comes with just a click.

2. Improved Banking

Less than a decade ago no one ever thought that they would be paying in bitcoins rather than dollars. Cryptocurrency has recently got viral because of its usefulness. No one would now have to wait in the long line of banks just for paying their utility bills.

3.Cost Efficiency

One of the main goals of technology includes making things cheaper and more affordable for people. Therefore, people see cost efficiency these days due to technology. The machinery of great benefit is available for so less price that we cannot imagine. More often competition takes place between two or more industries which results in even lesser prices.

4.Better Communication Means

It is a fact that modern technology has replaced old technology. And we cannot imagine our lives without this replacement. Letters were the most common mean of communication less than a century ago. Instant messaging and sharing of photos and videos was never so easy before. We have to accept that it’s only the use of technology, which makes it harmful otherwise nothing can beat the level of comfort in our lives because of technology.

5. Saves Time

Be it a business trip or a vacation; modern technology allows you to enjoy your outings by helping you navigate to anywhere. One can search for a particular place and then even pinpoint their specific destination. The application itself does rest. It won’t even let you miss a single turn, and nowadays it even shows you the traffic situation on your route.

Disadvantages of Technology

With such a rapid technology adoption that we’ve witnessed in the past few decades, we should also be worry of the many disadvantages of technology on our lives and our society. As we all know, too much of something can be harmful. Same is true of technology, and the many benefits it brings to our lives.

1. Anonymity, split personalities, fake personas and Technology and access to information in a central location has given rise to new kinds of crimes and terrorism

2. Reliance on technology has increased social anxiety, where people are more comfortable communicating with others through messages and chat apps, but not physically. Too much content, gaming, and indoor activities have impacted how people live their lives in turn leading to high obesity rates, more health issues, and new kinds of addictions.

3. Our attention spans are dropping the average attention span of humans recently dropped to 8 sec from 12 sec in the last few years. Companies like Facebook and Snapchat argue that a 2 sec/3 sec video watch time should be considered a “valid” view because attention spans on their platforms are very less.

4. Family distancing – people in the same room don’t talk to each other, but only to their devices

5. Virtual experiences are taking preference of real physical experiences – with technology advancements, we’re moving in an era where we will forget to decipher between what’s real and what’s unreal.

“If future generations are to remember us more with gratitude than sorrow, we must achieve more than just the miracles of technology. We must also leave them a glimpse of the world as it was created, not just as it looked when we got through with it.”

Lyndon B. Johnson, Former President of the United States of America
